Odyssey Hotel Group

Odyssey offers a extensive brand portfolio (20+ hotels in Europe with over 3300 rooms) allowing them to create the best format for the local market, while meeting and exceeding the needs of every guest. With every brand partnership they commit to, the delivery of an exceptional hotel experience is driven by maintaining strong relationships and focusing on a one-team approach. They are proud to be the brand guardian for these innovative global hospitality brands. During the time at Odyssey I am or have been responsible for total revenue management of the Autograph Collection Sapphire House Antwerp, Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam North, The Den, s’Hertogenbosch, AC by Marriott Wuerzburg & Moxy Wuerzburg, Courtyard Tampere City and AC by Marriott Stockholm. Next to these properties I managed multiple other properties as (holiday) coverage. In addition to this I’ve had the pleasure to do  an eight months maternity coverage as Manager Feasbility. At the same time I’ve been also in charge of a pilot (implementation & training) of PMI (by d2o) for five hotels and finally the technical implementation of PMI for all the hotels in the portfolio.

Hotel Heemskerk

Charming hotel near the dunes of Heemskerk, situated in the green, on the estate ‘Marquette’ Hotel Heemskerk is located. In 1980 this unique estate was transferred to PWN Waterleidingbedrijf Noord-Holland. During this period the hotel was built in the part that previously served as a farm: “Boerderij Daantjeshof”. The hotel was later expanded and modernized. The characteristic farm, hay storage and dovecote are still clearly visible and we attach importance to keeping these beautiful, historical buildings intact. I’m privileged to support the hotel team since opening in 2023 with Revenue, Sales, Marketing & general management support.

Dream Hostel & Hotel

Dream Hostel & Hotel is situated in Tampere, Finland. The charming old industrial building used to be, among other things, a pharmaceutical production facility and a papermill storage, and has recently been fully renovated. The hostel, that has been operating on the ground floor since 2010, has a spacious common kitchen and living room breakfast is also served.  On the first floor, right above the hostel is our hotel side, opened in 2014, which also has a common space and a compact kitchen. As one of the few remaining privately owned properties in Tampere, Dream Hostel & Hotel has quickly attracted international fame. Owned and operated by Ville and Eveliina Virkki, their life’s work has been praised by the prestigious British newspaper The Guardian in Top 10 European Luxury Hostels. The new hotel expansion has created a buzz in the architectural circles as well: this project was covered, among other places, on the super-popular Dezeen.com -website. I’m supporting Dream Hostel & Hotel to optimize their strategy to drive more profitable business.

WestCord Hotels

All WestCord Hotels have a distinctive location, history or theme. It’s not a chain, but a hotel group: each hotel with its own character and personal touch. From the Wadden Islands to historic cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Delft; worth the visit and guaranteed a wonderful hotel stay, dinner or (business) event. As Interim Revenue Manager I have supported hotels with their daily revenue management tasks.

Inntel Hotels

Inntel Hotels is a modern, friendly and successful hotel group with hotels in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Zaandam, Utrecht and Den Haag. The hotels are known for their warm and professional charisma with a focus on quality, experience and atmosphere. As a guest, you can always count on personal attention and a pleasant stay. As Interim Revenue Manager I have supported hotels with their daily revenue management tasks.

Hotel Employee Rate

Major hotel chains around the world offer their employees a travel program to their collection of hotels with generous hotel employee rates offered solely to their associates and their friends and family. Indeed, hotel employees the world over have come to expect this great benefit from their hotel companies. Independent hotels and smaller chains did not have the opportunity to offer this to their team – until now. With Hotel Employee Rate, all employees and up to ten of their friends and family can now enjoy the same great benefit of rock-bottom unpublished hotel employee rates (similarly offered by major hotel brands) and/or preferred rates (discounted up to 40%) at hotels in over 100 countries worldwide. Offering this to your team, will definitely increase your employee satisfaction. Hotels offering our employee travel program can expect improved team member retention with incremental revenue growth from our members’ bookings. In my role I was responsible for all activities within EMEA, including but not limited to business development, marketing and team development.

Landgoed Marquette

Just 20 kilometres north of Amsterdam, you will find Estate Marquette. In the middle of nature, close to beach and forest. Easy to reach by car, with plenty of parking spots. The ideal setting for your next event at a unique venue. We offer 13 state of the art meeting rooms, in our 12th century Chateau. All meeting rooms include natural daylight with a wide view over our gardens. Our largest meeting room can accommodate up to 120 in theatre set up. Our garden invites you as well to meet outside, or just for a great lunch or some drinks & bites. The estate includes also a 65-bedroom hotel, of which the hotel rooms are recently all renovated. In my role I was responsible for the commercial strategies including, but not limited to, revenue strategies, sales development, being a counterpart for the GM and train & develop the hotel team.

Belvar

Belvar was Europe’s no 1 preferred hospitality partner for innovative thinking, operational understanding, management, services & training. Unbroken record of delivering outstanding service and support to our real estate partners during the entire cycle of hotel development, from planning through building to opening and operations. Belvar was owned by the Maribel hotel group and is a leader in hotel operations and development in Europe. In addition to the Marriott brands Moxy and Courtyard by Marriott, Belvar also operates concepts for the Maribel-owned brands First Hotels, X Meeting Point, GÅRD Taste Scandinavian and Louises Fiskebar. The company operated 50 hotels. In my former role of Director of Revenue Management, I was responsible for the total hotel revenue management process and strategies towards the (long term) goal of increasing market share and maximizing revenues for all our hotels in the UK, Central & Southern Europe. My portfolio included over 20 Moxy hotels and two Courtyard hotels. Belvar as a company doesn’t exist anymore, hotels have been moved into another hotel management company.
